Consistent headaches over the last month

I've had a headache almost consistently for the last month. It's not severe but it's there when I wake up and while most of the time it doesn't stop me from going about my day, whenever I pause I feel pain. It's generally on the sides or front of the head. I work a desk job with long hours and I believe the headache comes from tension in the muscles and eye strain. I've gone to the optometrist and am planning to go for a remedial massage.

Is there anything more I could be doing, and how can I prevent this from developing again?
