    The main treatment for adults in Australia whom stutter is Smooth Speech, a technique researched thoroughly by Dr. Mark Onslow in Sydney with positive long term results for those whom use it.  For children the Lidcombe and Camperdown programs are used again with positive long term results.

    As per the Australian Research Council webinar for Speech Language Pathologists last night the most common treatment programs for stuttering with evidenced based practise are the Lidcombe program for children and the Camperdown program for adolescents and adults.
