My passion for working with children with disabilities and their families has developed over the past five years. Since graduating from Sydney University, I have worked across three different paediatric private practices in Sydney, taking with me knowledge and experience from each, and building an integrative Occupational Therapist practice.
As an undergraduate, I spent time in Broken Hill, NSW, working in remote Aboriginal communities screening and providing therapy to children in schools.I have had experience working with children with a range of learning and behavioural difficulties, including: autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiance disorder (ODD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), sensory processing disorder (SPD), dyspraxia, developmental coordination disorder (DCD), global developmental delay and learning difficulties.
As an occupational therapist, I have come to realise the importance of tailoring therapy to each child’s and families needs and goals. Central to this is my grass roots approach, and quest for further knowledge for better patient outcomes.
I effectively utilise my unique multidisciplinary team to ensure that every child I see fulfils their childhood roles and reaches their full potential.
