  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

    Irregular heart rhythm

Good evening, my daughter (14) has been having increased heart rhythm for a number of months. We have met with a local cardiologist who prescribed Metoprolol but this doesn't appear to be improving the symptoms. The specialist advised that surgery could be another option. I would like to get a second opinion but I am struggling to find a suitable specialist in Canberra. I would have thought that a heart monitor would be a good option as we can not get to the GP in time to have an ECG. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.
