    Gas pains, allergy or reflux?

My 8 week old suffers from terrible pains. She is formula feed and we have tried numerous formulas to ease her pain with no luck e.g. Karicare AR, Novolac Colic and we are currently on NAN comfort with Karicare thickener added as our doctor thinks she may have reflux. She has been vomiting during and after her bottle since she was born but has always been a happy chucker we find the amount she chucks up with a burp is small if we burp her frequently, however, she still regurgitates milk hours after a feed. Her main issue though is these "pains" she could be so settled and almost asleep in my arms and then all of a sudden she holds her breath like she is straining and goes red in the face and thrashes her body about and then starts screaming in pain, my instincts tell me it's gas related as sometimes she farts during these episodes and her crying intensifies, but after trying all the drops and bottles on the market we still have no relief! We just want our girl to be pain-free!
