Involuntary muscle & joint jerks/twitches in multiple parts of body

I am 32-year-old active and healthy Male. In October 2014 I started getting twitches/jerks in multiple areas of the body with no discernible pattern or reason. It can occur multiple times a minute or only once per day. It can occur whilst sitting, laying, standing etc. I saw a GP and we did an X-ray of back and neck with blood tests. Nothing, but I was advised to focus on breathing techniques. In Feb 2015, I was referred to a neurologist and we did an MRI, EEG and blood work but the neurologist saw no alarm and ascertained it was an involuntary tick. The jerks & twitches still happen - for example, a finger will flex on its own, or a jolt in my groin will cause my leg to spasm. I saw a new GP this week who wants to do blood tests and investigate possible Lyme Disease, and I'm concerned I'm simply getting a runaround. Feeling a bit lost and worried something very sinister is going on. Thanks.
