Pain on the sole of the feet can be attributed to Plantar Fasciitis.  This is an inflammatory condition that is generally worse in the morning, stiff for the first few steps, and worsens with prolonged walking.
You can self manage plantar fasciitis by using ice, massaging with a ball, stretching the calf muscles, and ensuring you are wearing proper footwear.
It is still advisable to visit either a podiatrist or physiotherapist to get an accurate diagnosis.

    Hope this helps
