For the past 24 hours I have experienced a loss or change of my sense of taste.
Everything tastes overwhelmingly bitter or just plain tasteless.
When not eating I have a metallic taste in my mouth and my tongue feels a little numb & swollen - as if I have eaten something too hot and scorched it.
I am 46 years old, female, and otherwise fit and healthy.
I take supplements and am concerned I am possibly experiencing a build up of selenium (my intake is 51mcg per day plus natural sources).
