When with hypercalcemia should I see an Endocrinlogist

I have hypercalcemia and had so much pain that I went into a very deep sleep. I was taken to the hospital where I was unable to tell them who I was. I had told my partner that I had sore ribs before I went to sleep so he told the doctors at the hospital. They prescribed indocid for the pain,I slept for 5 hours then woke up and felt better. After tests everything came back normal, except my calcium levels which were at 14. My Dr has also had cancer tests- negative result and im now booked in to have a thyroid ultra sound.
I still feel really sick and cant stay awake my local dr saids I should be seeing an Endocrinologist by now can u tell me if this is correct?
