Bloating and taking Metamucil

I feel really bloated and I'm taking Metamucil every day. I previously had 3 stage 3 haemorrhoids so I'm taking it to avoid constipation. Is there something I could do or eat to avoid the feeling of being bloated? Or do you think I should stop taking the Metamucil? -
