My 18 year old daughter has consistant back pain 3 years post surgery

3 years ago, my now 18-year-old daughter had back surgery to remove an osteoid osteoma. Her spine was fused at l4 / l5. This past year, she has been having back pain again with pain down her leg and numbness in her toes. She has occasionally collapsed without warning when her leg has given way. She has been given Pregabalin which doesn't seem to help much and none of the prescribed painkillers makes any difference to her pain. A recent bone scan showed a "hot spot". The spinal surgeon was not able to offer any more information than "it might be a small fracture", he told us to come back in 6 months. She is in constant pain and nothing she does relieves the pain. We are not satisfied with what has been said and feel there must be more that can be done to help her. Any ideas?
