Is 'snapping scapula syndrome' difficult to diagnose?
I have had 3 surgeries on my left shoulder over a 14 year period.
2001: Clavicle plate to correct fractured bone regrowth abnormality
2013: Clavicle plate removal, as over a 12 year period I experienced mild to moderate pain since 2001 fracture. However, I could not locate the specific source of pain. I assumed the pain was from the plate, yet pain persisted after removal.
2015: Arthroscopic Subacromial Decompression for Post Traumatic Impingement Syndrome (non-related to clavicle issue - fall impact injury landing on left hand resulting in partial supraspinatus tear).
Since 2015 injury, left shoulder pain has intensified (ranging from mild to severe). Surgery fixed impingement, however, intense pain remains. I have tried every form of therapy which has produced mild relief, but most times is aggravated by physiotherapy.
Research out of desperation has led me to read about Snapping Scapula (I have had audible clicks since 2001). Is a specific scan required for SSS diagnosis?
