  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

My almost 5 year old has been feeling dizzy for past 3 weeks. What may be the cause?

He has been feeling dizzy (describes it as "spiny brain inside the head") for past 3 weeks. We've seen a couple of GPs as well as a couple of paediatricians. They've done some tests (incl. blood test, B12, iron, blood sugar levels; heart, ears, nose, throat checks) - all clear. He does not loose balance. He just feels dizzy inside his head. 2 months ago he fell backwards on his bum on the concrete floor when another boy run into him at school. He did not complain about any back pain, just bruised bum and grazed elbows. I suspect possibly blocked nerve or pinched nerve due to the fall, but doctors don't think the diziness is relevant to his fall 2 months ago. Please help. Thank you.
