I've had a sore throat for 6 weeks. I have most symptoms of glandular fever, but blood tests show that I don't have glandular fever and everything seems normal. GP's have nothing else to offer other than to tell me I have some kind of virus and if I become incapacitated then they can do something. I suggested a referral to a specialist and the GP didn't think it was worthwhile. Is 6 weeks too soon to seek specialist attention?
