  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

Could an Arachnoid cyst with obstruction lead to spinal cord compression?

Arachnoid cyst on right lateral side of brain picked up by MRI said to be causing obstruction *extra vertebra at the end of spine. * 4 out 6 findings of cervical spine MRI reveal disc degeneration and bulging and etc * The middle and lumber part of my spine has yet to have MRIs yet these are the most painful / feels as though my spine is trying to erupt out through my abdomen! * Find it difficult to do any daily tasks yet it is always when I am my most physically unwell that I push my self the hardest and therefore a suffering severally. No one is really noticing the severe suffering I am experiencing as I appear to be remaining strong. * I have no GP, no support, no one comes and helps with physical everyday tasks. I live on my own. * I also have an extra bone connected to my skull at the top part of my neck - not part of my spine. * I suffer from blackouts and if I lie in the wrong position also suffer from paralysis. * I urgently need to use the bathroom because of the problems.
