    Suffering from COPD... should I retire early?

    I'm only 57 years old but suffer from COPD. I dislike sitting at my desk all day and would rather be at home. It's also probably not healthy to sit all day. I figure I can just live off my husband's income and maybe try to be a bit more active..

    It's hard for a doctor to tell you to give up work and retire early; but if you feel that you can make an improvement to your health by being active, then we would certainly encourage you to do so. If that means changing your work situation, then we would be encouraging of you to do that.
