How to manage environmental allergies on a regular basis?

I am allergic to grass and get very itchy, red skin when I am sitting in grass. However, I often take my children to the park and it is difficult for me to avoid such activities. Is there any way to manage my allergic reactions?

    Hi,

I can see that avoiding your trigger is going to be near-impossible!

I would suggest protecting yourself from exposure - and since you cannot avoid grass because of your children, the simplest suggestion would be to “cover up” to minimise your exposure. Wear long-sleeved and long-legged, shoes with socks and consider a scarf for face/neck protection…

Also, when you get home, get everyone to change into non-grass clothes, and for you showering may even assist.

The other thing to do is to take a thick picnic rug, and sit on that.

    I heop that helps.
