There are 13 subtypes of Ehlers-Danlos, 12 of which have a testable genetic mutation. Together, they form an array of complex systemic connective tissue disorders that can manifest in psychological and physical signs and symptoms ranging from vascular and aortic dissection and aneurysm risk, skin fragility, to hypermobile and postural instability.
