    Hi, my teenage son is deaf and we have started to discuss job opportunities for him. What time of opportunities are there for deaf people? Where should he be focusing his study? Is there a high instance of discrimination in the work place for deaf people?

    A good first contact for you would be Deaf Children Australia on 1800 645 916 or info@deafchildren.org.au to get assistance in answering your questions regarding job opportunities. Then later when your son does need to find employment  Centrelink refers clients to a Disability Employment Network provider (DEN) and to  Commonwealth Rehabilitation Services (CRS).
