When I wake up I start feeling pressure in my right ear. It starts to build, the right side of my face feels tingly and if it continues there's a ringing sound then I feel dizzy (vertigo). For a few days, I've been lying down until it passes but the only activities I can do is lie on the sofa or stand for short periods of time. The worst time is in the morning.
Yawning and jaw stretching provide some relief but only for a few seconds. The only thing that seems to 'clear' it is popping my ears. However, I have to do this every few minutes.
Tests from my Dr show normal bloodwork, heart, co-ordination. My hearing is fine.
What can I do about it?
I am an older woman who experiences vertigo quite frequently. I am wondering if this symptom is part of a larger condition that I may not be aware of. Is vertigo a symptom of any disease or illness?
