I recently joined the gym and am finding that my appetite has increased a lot. I'm always hungry even after my meals. I was told I have to eat a lot of carbs for energy and muscle recovery. However, carbs does not really help me with diabetes. At the moment, I'm eating a lot of vegetables with protein and overnight oats with chia seeds, fruit and nut, but I still get hungry 1-2 hours after my meal. I have diabetes and high cholesterol.
Can someone suggest what I should be snacking on, in between my meals?
