The Lap-Band® System is a tool to help you manage your diet. After surgery, a LAP-BAND® System patient will need a new diet. For the first one to four weeks, a diet of liquids and soft foods is recommended. As time goes on, patients will slowly move to solid food based on the surgeon’s or dietitian’s advice. A great thing about the LAP-BAND® System is that you will still be able to eat many of the foods you love, just in smaller amounts.
