Fresh pineapple (not tinned) does contain a substance called bromelain that, in theory, could help to ripen the cervix. However, the quantity of pineapple required is so large that it is probably not possible to consume enough for it to be the cause of a miscarriage. Pineapple is rich in nutrients - don't worry about eating it in moderate quantities.
