    I had a hysterectomy and cervical cancer was found, what do I do now?

    My cervix was removed and I was told to have a vaginal smear every 6months. Is there other precautions I should be taking or other tests I should be having?

    Dr Gino Pecoraro (Advisory Panellist from the Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation) recommends that you need to go back to your gynaecologist who did the surgery and ask them on what they advise is the appropriate follow up for you or to discuss what further treatment is necessary depending on the exact findings from the specimen.
