The effect of a massage treatment generally varies from person to person. If the main problem you have is muscular then it can be relieved completely in some instances. If the massage is not addressing the main problem, then the effect might only last for minutes.

Massage treatment times vary - they can range from “pay-by-the-minute” massages in a shopping centre to set booked times in a clinic to day spa holistic treatments.

Usually for a therapeutic or remedial massage it is an hour session and that includes some paperwork, the client talking themselves and some assessments. It really does depend what you are coming for as to how long each session lasts. Some people like to have an hour and a half.
Some people only want a half an hour session, so it depends what the client's needs are, and on the treatment.
