    What can I do for my reoccurring metacarpophalangeal joint injury?

    boxing accident occurred 2 months ago, injured metacarpophalangeal joint, symptoms- pain, swelling knuckle, weakness & inability to fully clench fist. Injury seemed to have healed but all symptoms reoccurred yesterday at boxing training/sparring, when slight pressure/force hit my fist? What can I do?

    I suggest that you see your GP, have an x-ray of your hand and seek treatment by a specialist.

    It is not possible to diagnose what you have done based on your symptoms, but it is definitely worthwhile getting checked out. You may have fractured your metacarpal neck, or sustained ligament injury, or perhaps something else.
