    Tics can be classified as vocal or motor.  Vocal tics include noises such as grunts, groans, muttering or basically any other noises that a tourettes patient is compelled to make. Motor tics involve any movement of the limbs, trunk or facial muscle; common motor tics include squinting of the eyes, twitching of the neck and pursing of the lips.
