    Knee Osteoarthritis

I have "marked patellofemoral joint OS with marginal early degenerative changes in the tibiofemoral joint" according to the MRI. I am seeing a physiotherapist and am waiting (for over two months) for an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon, but I am constantly in pain and the joint constantly collapses under me. I cannot take NSAIDs. I have had two course of steroids, which help for a while. I take a panadol & codeine combination, but this is only marginally effective. I have used heat and done exercises but is there anything else I can do?
