Skin prick testing is a test that we do frequently in the allergy clinic. The procedure involves placing a small amount of allergen (e.g. dairy, egg, dust mite extract) onto the skin and then scratching through the outer layer with a very small needle called a lancet. We then wait for 10-15 minutes and then read the results. If there is a reaction we can say that there is 'sensitisation' but whether you have allergy or not really depends on the history (the history is so important!). But yes, you can definitely be tested for more than one thing at a time. Whether you should or not depends on how likely allergy to those allergens really is.
