My husband has a large lump behind his knee which has been confirmed by ultrasound as being a Bakers Cyst. He has severe osteoarthritis in the same knee but as a farmer, he wants to delay as long as possible any replacement. The discomfort from the Baker's cysts causes him more concern than his actual knee, but he has been advised not to have any surgery on the baker's cyst until he has his knee replaced. Is this reasonable or could he have the Bakers cyst treated now and continue to delay the TKR?
