    Therapy or medication for anxiety

Our 19 yo daughter's anxiety only really surfaced in Yr 11. We started her in Music Therapy as she had auditory processing issues and she went to 62 sessions. There was no discernible difference so she went to Headspace. Again no discernible difference; in fact, she keeps on getting worse. She can't do exams or anything that requires that she performs and has many fears: strangers, insects, buses, decision making, etc. She constantly listens to music and movies and says she hates silence. Despite all of the therapy, she is, in my eyes 'disabled' as she is currently unemployable. We are struggling to find a suitable psychiatrist in Canberra but are willing to travel to Sydney occasionally. Do psychiatrists do one off evaluations with recommendations, e.g. psychologists, medications? She is intellectually capable and would have been in tertiary education (e.g. primary teaching) without these issues.
