Can a broad ligament fibroid regrow after excision?

Eight years ago I had a hysterectomy due to a broad ligament fibroid. Recently I experienced similar intermittent low-level pain and it made me wonder whether that type of fibroid can grow again.

It wont grow again, but there is always the possibility that there was a very small seed of another fibroid near it that was not able to be seen-removed at the time of surgery and has grown.

For peace of mind I suggest you have a pelvic ultrasound.
