    What to use as a substitute for Metamucil in minor diverticulitis

    I have an intrauterine pessary which becomes dislodged when my bowel becomes distended with Metamucil. Is there something else I can use with minor diverticulosis? Thank you

    It sounds like you are not tolerating bulking agents such as Metamucil.  I would speak to your GP or specialist about gentle non bulking laxatives.
