    Multiple bowel surgeries, now large incisional hernia

    Should I be looking for a Colorectal surgeon to repair my large wide mouthed incisional hernia, with small bowel protruding through. Due to numerous bowel surgeries from diverticulitis over the years, last being 2 and a 1/2 years ago. Or could any hernia surgeon do the job?

    There is a lot to consider with respect to an incisional hernia repair and whether it should be done, and how. A General Surgeon or Specialist Surgeon (eg Colorectal) will be able to discuss this with you.
