Are otitis media and asthma linked and contributors to cholesteama?

Hi, years ago I started having recurring otitis media then chronic otitis media. These occurred with respiratory issues and colds. I was in my 20's and had no issues regarding my ears ever. I then got asthma as a result of my work as well as allergic rhinitis. The ear infections got worse and more regular. I then noticed some significant hearing loss about 15-20% I was told. About 10 years after the constant ear aches, perforated ear drums, bleeding ears etc and being put on antibiotics as well as trying to sort out the asthma issues I was diagnosed with a cholesteatoma and had surgery. I still get constant otitis media, regularly, still get bulging ear drums and am always being put on antibiotics. I am prescribed rhinacort and if I run out use beconaise all the time. I can't seem to ever get on top I have lived with this for years now. Are my respiratory issues linked to the otitis media and is the recurrent otitis media responsible or a contributor to the cholesteatoma?
