  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

How can my husband overcome his anger towards my family?

My husband did something really nice for my brother in law and apparently all he got from my brother in law was put down and humiliated. My husband is not dealing with it, won't deal with it and refuses to have anything to do with my brother in law. As a result, this has been going on for a few years now and causes problems and stress with my immediate family.

My sister hardly talks to me because of it, I never see my nieces and nephews anymore.
It causes anxiety and stress on our marriage when it is mentioned and when I ask him to attend a Christmas function or family event. When talked about, he gets angry and really nasty towards me and blames me for asking him to attend the family gathering.
