Are there any changes in following weight watchers with Type 2?

I have been on weight watchers for 4 months and have lost 12 kg, 10% of my body weight and have recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Are there any specific changes in following the program now or any do's and don't s?

    Hi there,
Congratulations on your weight loss, this will certainly make managing your type 2 diabetes easier, particularly if exercise is now a regular part of your life. Weight Watchers will fit in with the management of your diabetes, as the best way to manage this condition is simply healthy eating. It is a good idea with a new diagnosis to check in with a dietitian and diabetes educator to ensure that you are fully informed- but there should not be any reason you would need to change your weight loss strategy unless you are using your points to eat less than healthy foods! All the best. Lisa
