Is eczema the cause of red, flaky skin and itchiness on face only?

I have an old scar on my forehead and dry itchy flaky skin is there and around my nose. The itch is a cycle. Also i find my scalp very itchy with no head lice. What is causing this?

Usually dry itchy flaky skin anywhere on the body is eczema however a diagnosis from your health professional would be helpful. They may prescribe a mild cortisone topical cream which will help to clear up the problem.  Changing your shampoo to one suitable for sensitive skin would probably help with the itchy scalp and with the facial dryness.  Also, using a hypoallergenic moisturiser at least twice a day would also be beneficial.
