Why am I having trouble losing weight after this child?

    Related Topic
Hi there, Ive had 7 children, and after each child if I concentrate and try hard Ive been able to lose the kgs quickly enough. After my last child I had my gall bladder removed, and am finding losing weight incredibly hard, most would be 0.5 kg lost and still put it back on the next week sometimes. Is this because of the surgery?

When you have your gall bladder out you must try and cut back on all fat intake. Ideally you should have as close to a fat free diet as you can manage. You have 7 children which is very demanding. Do you get enough sleep, ideally 7-8 hours each night. If you are stressed or tired your body secretes cortisol which causes fat deposition. Make sure that everything you eat is on a plate so that prevents you snacking or picking. Reassess your portion sizes. Are you exercising daily? Re-evaluate your intake and your lifestyle patterns. It is a good idea to see an accredited dietitian if you cannot resolve your weight loss problem.
