    What is the average cost of a hysterectomy with health care?

    I have been told i need a hysterectomy but am scared of the cost. What is the approx out of pocket expense for this procedure? I have health insurance.

    This depends on where you live and which gynaecologist you see. It also depends on the type of hysterectomy you have: Laparoscopic, vaginal, or abdominal. The gap fees (out of pocket expense) is a fee that your gynaecologist sets. This is not a fee that is similar for all gynaecologists; some may charge more than others...
