As with any action plan such as that for asthma, an eczema action plan outlines a set of steps that a patient or parents in the case of a child, can undertake to better manage their condition. Such a plan will usually take into account the age of the person, severity of the eczema and any associated conditions, such as secondary infection.

A good eczema action plan has been developed by allergists and immunologists who belong to the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) and can be viewed and printed from the website- www.allergy.org.au.
