Well done for getting the referral - I hope that you will benefit from working with the psychologist.

I had my first session with the pyschologist yesterday, it was a lot easier than i expected. The first meeting was pretty much about data gathering for her on my back ground and feelings. I am at the stage  where i have had enough suffering and  want to get my life back , AND WILL!!!  I am not expecting a quick and  easy recovery. I will take each step at a time and if need be reduce the size of the steps, but one thing is for sure i will persist and control my feelings. For many years i kept thinking to my self i will soon, i never did and really wish i had. If you are reading this you must be suffering from depression, wether you can admit it or not. Come and join me on the path back to happiness. The sooner you start, or even admit it to yourself, a freind or family member, the sooner you will be on that path to recovery, IT IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!

    That is great Steven!

All that I hear from you  (writing as someone who is in remission from depression, thanks to a combo of my hard work and help from my mental health care team) sounds very positive to me!

I wish you all the best in your journey to healing.
