    Generally, it is very effective. But the rider there is that it depends on the stage of the cancer. The earlier it's picked up, the more effective it is. In the early stages of cervical cancer, before it becomes invasive, the treatment results in almost a 100 percent success rate. In other words, it's curative. Though in the later stages, of course, when the cancer has progressed, it becomes less so. And that's the whole purpose of early prevention, to pick it up when it's treatable.
