    How can tea bags help treat swollen eyes?

    Is it safe to put tea bags on the eyes when they're puffy? Sometimes they are puffy/swollen in the morning.. I'm not sure what causes it but I read online that tea bags can help

    Swollen eyes often are soothed by either cooling them (to reduce swelling) or heating them (to increase blood supply to the area).

    Tea bags are a useful size and density to apply heat or coolness to the eyes, and they have a handy string to help you to place them on your closed eyes. Warm them by soaking in warm water and squeezing to remove excessive water, or place them in the fridge to cool them, before applying to your closed eyes. 

    Tea bags also have the unique feature in that they can also provide you with a nutritious cup of tea, which is high in antioxidants and calming for your spirit.
