None of the hepatitis viruses are airborne transmitted.

Hepatitis A can be considered contagious as it is transmitted through lapses in personal hygiene - eg. faeces contaminated hands coming in contact with the mouth or eyes, as may happen among kids at a child care centre. It is also transmitted via sewerage contaminated food and water. Proper handwashing and avoiding contaminated food will prevent transmission.

Hepatitis B is not considered contagious as it is sexually transmitted or blood borne. Safer sex and avoiding contaminated medical procedures/injecting/tattooing/piercing will prevent transmission. Mother-to-baby transmission also occurs.

Hepatitis C is not considered contagious as it is transmitted through blood-to-blood contact. Avoiding contaminated medical procedures/injecting/tattooing/piercing will prevent transmission. Mother-to-baby transmission also occurs.
