    Unfortunately there are not things that can be done to prevent narcolepsy. We know that narcolepsy can come on after infection or illness, or sometimes without any clear trigger, but have not been able to find any measures that can prevent narcolepsy from developing in susceptible people.  For more information on narcolepsy see information on Narcolepsy.
