Every student has individual learning needs. Different environments and education structures are better suited to some than others. It is best to discuss the child's needs as a support team, including parents, educators and other professionals involved, to decide on what educational environment will best support the student. With the right support a child can be successful in a mainstream classroom, or they may need withdrawal time to work in small groups on specific academic content.
