There are many causes of hearing loss throughout the community.  Some of those are congenital hearing loss, middle ear problems such as otitis media (ear infection), malformation of middle ear, exposure to excessive noise (workplace and social situations) to name a few.  Some hearing loss can be caused from head fractures and other injuries.
