    There is always a lot of information that can be accessed on the internet, that is not always accurate, or useful. 

    Each state provides a support and information body that can be of great assistance in understanding what an ED is, what treatments are available and how to access local supports. They have an awesome library of resources, and hold educative groups for families and people who have EDs.  The details are listed below for Victoria, and other states can be accessed from their page.

    Another one is ANAD:  http://www.anad.org/ .

    It is American, so will not provide links to Australian support mechanisms and is primarily focused on anorexia but there is a lot of helpful information there.
