    Husband showing no emotions

I've been together with my husband for 8 years. He`s been telling me that he doesn't feel any emotions - doesn't feel happy or sad, just angry most of the time. One day he loves me, other days he hates me. When we had our first child he wasn't that happy and same with the second and third child. It seems like he didn't care. Sometimes he shows love to our kids but there are other times where he just wants to be left alone. Sometimes he says that he feels like crying but nothing comes out. We have been together for a long time and he wasn't always like this. He was a caring man. It's not only with us that he says that he doesn't feel anything for his parents. What should I do? I don't want to give up on him.
